Amnicare

Nordic health innovation in the UK

Over three inspiring days in Birmingham, Cardiff, and Swansea, as part of the Nordic Medtech Mission to the UK, our CEO Daniel Terborn, Amnicare’s product owner Caroline Romberg, and business developer Josefine Norstedt had the opportunity to showcase Amnicare and demonstrate how it can be a key player in shaping a more person-centered and standardized healthcare.

The trip offered invaluable insights into the UK’s healthcare landscape, highlighting both its strengths and challenges. Engaging discussions centered around how Amnicare can play a pivotal role in advancing and strengthening healthcare, particularly in the area of mental health.

In Birmingham, we were welcomed by the West Midlands Growth Company and Wilkes, where we explored opportunities for entering the UK market and working within the NHS. We attended presentations from leading organizations, including Health Innovation West Midlands, Health Technology Institute, Precision Health Technology Accelerator, Medilink Midlands, and European Business Solutions. These sessions provided valuable perspectives on the needs and opportunities within the UK healthcare system.

The journey continued to Wales, where the focus shifted to collaboration between academia and the business sector in developing sustainable digital healthcare solutions. We connected with representatives from Swansea University, Cardiff University, Welsh Government, A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), MediWales, and NHS Wales Shared Services. Together, we explored how public and private sectors can work hand-in-hand to create digital solutions rooted in everyday needs—solutions designed to strengthen healthcare both in the short and long term.

A huge thank you to the Department for Business and Trade for organizing such well-structured and inspiring days, and to all our meeting partners for insightful and meaningful conversations.

We look forward to continuing to build partnerships with both UK and Nordic stakeholders to create digital solutions that make a real difference in delivering sustainable healthcare for the future.
